The Business Development Group (BDG) consists of professionals from all sectors of the business community. It aims to meet once a month and organise one business-related workshop or seminar every two months. Its main roles are:
- To develop trade between Belgium and the UK
- To provide basic assistance on legal and tax matters for members (predominantly from the SME sector) who wish to develop their business in Belgium through the Tax, Finance and Legal Task Force
- To provide regular opportunities for members to promote their products and services to members and non-members alike. Some of these will require payment such as advertisements, event sponsorship and speed networking evenings others such as members networking cocktails may be free.
Chairman's Comments
Group meetings take place at the Chamber offices at 12.30 every 3rd Thursday of the month and is open to all British Chamber members. Contact Petra to be invited to attend the meeting.
The name of this committee is deliberately aimed at providing an outward looking attitude reflecting the Chamber’s commitment to the commercial aspects of membership.
The BDG Aims to provide:
- A platform for members to network with and promote their business to other members
- A platform for members to promote their business to Belgian companies primarily based in Belgium
- A platform for UK companies to do business with member companies
Commercial relationships can be built by taking advantage of the platform the Chamber provides and the events they coordinate. Any new ideas are welcome, contact Petra.
