The Environment, Energy and Transport task force (or EET) is the driving force behind all British Chamber activities in relation to environmental, energy and transport policy.
Our aim is to ensure that the British Chamber and its members are in dialogue with the policy makers that matter, when it matters. And this provides a valuable platform for gaining policy insight, contributing related business opinion and thought leadership.

The EET taskforce meets regularly, facilitating informal and often intimate discussion with relevant EU stakeholders and ensuring that the British Chamber’s programme of activities reflects our members’ environment, energy and transport policy priorities.
The EET taskforce is open to all members of the British Chamber’s EU Committee. Active EET taskforce participants include: Deutsche Post / DHL, Michelin, Bayer Cropscience, Norsk Hydro amongst many others.

This task force has developed a core theme "Green Economy" where identified speakers and discussion topics from the three areas are all focused on this topic. Topics of interest:

  • GALILEO and EGNOS programmes, particularly issues relating to progress, opportunities and threats and also about the market development including FP7 applications, R&D and security.
  • Renewable Energies and Air pollution
  • “Integrated Transport Systems of the Future”, covering areas like Urban Logistics and Urban Mobility with a focus on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and covering concepts like “co-modality”, “decarbonising transport” and “green corridors”.
