Susanna Di Feliciantonio - ICAEW (chair)
David Reed - Kreab & Gavin Anderson (vice-chair)

Established in late 2009, the Financial Services task force serves as a platform for British Chamber members to exchange views and enhance understanding on an area of intense regulatory activity – not least given the various European and international activities in response to the financial crisis.
Our aim is to encourage dialogue between British Chamber members, UK and EU policy-makers on major developments affecting the financial services sector, whilst also promoting awareness of the global aspects of financial regulation.

The Task Force brings together a diverse group of Chamber members, including providers as well as users of financial services.  Professional advisors and public affairs advocates are also well represented.
We work to create opportunities for members to interact with policy-makers dealing with financial services issues, be they from the UK government, the European Commission or the European Parliament.
The list of issues of interest to the Task Force is long and growing. Topics that our members are interested in:

  • Corporate Governance in the financial sector
  • Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFM)
  • Internal Markets and Competition Rules: How do they fit with EU Industrial Policy?
  • Capital Requirements Directive

If your company is affected by financial services regulation – whether as a provider or user – why not join the Task Force? We’re always open to new members and new ideas!
